Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My page looks the same after I edit it and save changes? It seems like the edit feature doesn't work.
Your internet browser is storing pages that you view in cache memory. So when you go to view a page on the internet your browser will pull the page out of the cache memory instead of reloading it. This is useful when you are browsing the internet because it takes less time to view pages that you have already been to. However, it causes problems when you are editting your website. You will make changes and then try to view them and it will look like nothing changed - that is because you are actually viewing the old page instead of the updated one.

If you are using Internet Explorer then you need to do this:
In the tool bar on the top of the Internet Explorer Browser there are buttons that say "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, etc". Go into the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options". Then go into "Settings" for "Temporary Internet Files". Under where it says "Check for newer versions of stored pages" check the box next to "Every visit to the page". Then click "OK".
If you are using Netscape Navigator you need to do this:
At the top of the Netscape browser go into the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences". Under "Category" click the "+" sign next to "Advanced" and click on "Cache". Under where it says "Document in cache is compared to document on network:" check the box next to "Every Time". Then click "OK".
